My cat watching me feed the possum last night…

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a complicated expression on a cat’s face before. It wasn’t just jealousy — it was sadness, disappointment, and the tiniest bit of “how could you?” all mixed together.

The possum is happily munching away, completely oblivious, and meanwhile my cat is sitting in the corner like:
“Wow… I thought I was your favorite. Guess I was wrong.”

I swear, the look cut deeper than claws. If guilt trips were an Olympic sport, my cat would take gold. 🐱🥺🦝

Cats really are just like babies — gotta love them. 💖

The first day of the opossum rescue.

Hi, friends, Today I want to share a heart-broken story with all of you! One night, I was walking on the street contemplating on a project I was working on. While my mind was all about it, I was shocked when I saw a pool of blood! When I took a closer look at the blood and pieces of flesh, I found a dead opossum mother and 5 or 6 opossum babies. Their bodies were already deformed exposing the organs. It was just horrifying. I felt sad and started to wonder how I could properly bury these poor opossums. Then I looked to the right and noticed a tiny opossum baby which still had its eyes closed and was gently shaking in the pool of blood. I hurried and cleaned up the saddening scene and brought home the opossum baby which survived the accident by chance.

This is the opossum baby which had been cleaned. Fortunately, only a minor injury was found on its tail. Everywhere else seemed fine. I went to the store and got some formula for kittens and a plastic injector and began my journey of opossum rescue.
